My sincere condolences to your family, especially Louis and Helena. I met your mom when she was in St. Rita Hospital having Lorne. Over the years Rannie and I visited but lost touch. Very sorry to hear of her passing.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. Though I didn’t know Bertha she sure sounds like a wonderful lady and was very fortunate to have a long and fulfilling life. May special memories comfort you and, in time, help to lessen the sadness of your loss. My sincere condolences to all the Burke’s and Carter’s on the passing of my Aunt Bertha. I am so glad that I got to see her less than a week before she passed. Losing my own son Danny just over a year and a half ago, SHE and I had some honest to goodness laughs over the chokeberry jelly and serious talks about Lesa and Uncle Peter, but mostly laughs and I’m grateful for that, being able to forget my great loss for just a few hours. I love you Aunt Bertha and rest in peace “Sweetie”

This summer I visited Bertha and we spent a lovely time together. I will always remember her as one of the nicest, friendliest persons I know. I never had been hugged like this. She belongs to the few good people I know. Farewell my friend! Bärbel from Germany.
