Please share a memory of Eleanor to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

CARTER, Eleanor Mary - Age 83, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, Guysborough. Eleanor was born in Havendale, Guysborough Co. She was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Bray) Cunningham.

When she married Clayton, she moved just up the road to Guysborough Intervale and lived there as a wife and homemaker, where together, they raised 9 children. In return, received 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, whom she adored and would light when speaking of them. In her later years, Eleanor loved looking after her flowers and pets, especially her rose bushes, her cat Sweetie and her dog Fluffy. She lived her last few remaining years in the Milford Haven Home for Special Care, under the care of Dr. Ranjini, RN's, LPN's, the CCA's and Custodial Staff.

Thank you to all who provided care to our mom. A special thank you to Margie Halloran whom was a constant custodial care and friend to our mom. You have been a blessing to our family.

Eleanor was a member of St. Patrick's Parish in Guysborough Intervale. She found great comfort in her faith and love of God. She loved to pray and you'd be hard pressed to find a prayer that she didn't know. She loved going to church and when she couldn't get there, she would watch "Mass for Shut-Ins".

Eleanor is survived by her children, Peggy (Danny) Procure; Brenda (Frankie) Hall; Andrew; Pam (Joe); Wade (Marlene); Yvonne (Dwayne) Dort; Kim (Nick); Robert (Christie) and Tommy; grandchildren, Rhonda, Julian, Ben, Moira, Shantel, Brandon, Makayla, Nicholas, Logan, CJ, Isaac, Cody, Mason and Maria; great-grandchildren, Zarah, Ashby, Melora, Addie, Lincoln, Jack, Franklin, Barrett and Colton; brother-in-law, Carmen Greencorn; sister-in-law, Bertha Grady.
