My beloved nanny, Eleanor Carter. As a lot may know, Nanny was a lady of grace, the matriarch of our family, religious faithed and a wholehearted animal lover who found beauty in what life offered. Her love for her family knew no limit, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Nanny's beautiful curly hair, her smile that would light up an entire room, and her open loving arms are memories I know as a family we will cherish forever.
Growing up, some of my favorite moments were the walks we took together everyday with my mom, Pam O'Neil, Uncle Andrew Carter, and my sister, Moira McKeough along with going to church together in Guysborough Intervale. Moment's such as these have left an everlasting mark on our hearts.
She planted the seeds of her garden that we all call family and turned it into a beautiful, thriving oasis of love and togetherness.
Rest in peace, Nanny. Your love and kindness will remain with us always and continue to live through us in what we do.
Thank you for being such an amazing mother, nanny, great-grand nanny, and a friend. I love you.
