Corkum, Beatrice Mildred - Age 91 Guysborough. It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Beatrice Mildred Corkum on Thursday, July 11, 2024 in the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Beatrice was born in Cooks Cove, Guysborough Co. she was a daughter of the late William and Nettie (Spanks) Taylor.  She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Beatrice is survived by her husband, Donald Corkum; her daughter, Linda, Vernon, BC; sons, Arnold (Celene), Queensport; Bernard (Dana), Halifax; Leonard (Donna), West Cooks Cove; Clyde (Gloria), Guysborough; Rodger (Shaina), Coldbrook; 5 grandchildren; very special friend, George Kitching. She was predeceased by her first husband, Morley Dort; daughter, Marina Dort; sister, Marion; brothers, Harold and Earl.

Visitation will be held 9:30 a.m.-12 noon, Thursday, July 25, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. both in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, 54 Queen St., Guysborough with Reverend Heather Manuel officiating. Burial to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Beatrice to a charity of your choice.
