To the Weir family, we offer our sincere condolences. Cousin Jamie’s passing has struck us both pretty hard. Gary and Jamie met later in their lives because of a shared history as children of Home Children. They had the opportunity to get to know one another when they travelled to Birmingham, England in 2012, to learn more about their grandparents and English cousins. We all had further time together at Weir family reunions and the times we visited at his home. He was always so happy to see us and we enjoyed our chats with him. Through all of these occasions we saw that he was a good and kind man, who lived a principled life. We will miss him. Gary and Inez Roberts

Sorry to learn of Jamie's passing. My brothers and I played baseball with him in Lower River in the 70s. We all looked up to him as a player and person. Great guy. RIP Jaimie. Condolences to the family.

I played softball against Jamie at the West Bay Road ball field,i worked with him for over 30 years and i helped him coach the Riverdale Tigers little league .He was always a thoughtful man. My sincere condolences to all the WYRE families May he rest in peace. Pius white

When the Cancer Society started the RElay Fro Life, I met Jamie for the firt time at the supper. We then walkilked aroiund the track and woiuld meet up aggain every year. From our talks aroiund the track, I got to realize he was a fine gentleman. R.I.P> Marcellin Chiasson
