A. Fred England
Sept. 5, 1946 – Aug. 12, 2023
Mulgrave, Guysborough County
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, Fred England, at the age of 76, on Saturday, August 12, 2023, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.
He was the son of the late Douglas and Margaret (Hadley) England. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patsy (Jamieson); sons, Rick (Kim), Troy (Michelle) and Kal (Adrianna); grandchildren, Jordan, Logan, Kye and Eva; brothers, Gary (Barb), Eric (Kelly); sisters, Janet, Karen (Billy), Debra (Mike); and his loving aunt, Barb.
Fred worked at Stora Forest Industries for 33 years as a carry lift operator. He was a member of Mulgrave Town Council and a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Mulgrave.
He was an avid reader of World War ll history. He travelled to Juno Beach in Normandy where his father landed on D-Day.
Family gatherings were Fred's most cherished times and he was a die-hard Toronto Maple Leafs fan who loved his hockey! If the Leafs win the Stanley Cup, we’ll know that Freddie had a hand in it.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Fred’s memory to St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Mulgrave.
