I always enjoyed meeting Patsay and Fred, they always had a smiles and gave off great energy and joy when they met up with a friend. We visited with him at hospital when he was in there before Christmas last year. Fred always made a good comment on my hat. So during he stay there he continued to make comment on my hat. So one particular day before I went into visit I when to Leaves and Limbs store and bought Fred the same style hat as mine and headed in to see Fred. When I rounded the corner of his side of the room and there was Fred with his ( trademark smile) So I said hello and that I have something for you, I took the hat out of the bag and put the hat on his head and said there now you are an official member of the Hat Cat club. He had the look of pure joy on his face. You would have thought that I just gave him a winning Lotto ticket number. This is a memory that I will carry with me still I am called home. Rest in peace my friend, till we meet again. Oh you better be wearing that hat of yours because I will be wearing mine!!!

My sincerest condolences to you All.
From My entire family to yours,
I can honestly say he was a true gem of a man,. I have many great memories of going down for a game of ping pong with Kal and either before or after listening to Freddy talk about the leafs or maybe even offer us up some pork chops and potatoes :-)
They really didn't come much better than him and if he teased that just meant he liked and teased everyone.
That big glowing smile will be forever missed. Your family treated me like family over the years and he was a big part of that.
Remember him well , I know i will.

Fred was the brother I never had, we spent lots of time tormenting each other and having some great laughs over a drink of rum and sometimes into the wee hours of the morning. He was my partner playing canasta against Patsy and Marilyn. I have so many good memories of times we spent together...at his stag party out in Aulds Cove...on the bus coming to Mulgrave after Marilyn and I were married...playing ball together on the Mulgrave Eagles...watching him in the rear view mirror as we drove through Montreal at 5 pm heading to Niagara Falls .. I could go on forever of all the wonderful Memories....Fred I love you and miss you, you will always be in my heart and on my mind....Fly high my friend and we will see you on the other side....I'll bring the Appleton with me...

Patsy and family it was a shock when I learned of Fred's passing, its with a heavy heart that we send you and your family our heart felt condolences and prayers. As you know words are sometimes hard to come with to convey how we feel when we lose a family member or dear friend.
