I was born and grew up in Phillips harbour one year younger than Clarence we spent a lot of time together as kids. He was a good friend and enjoyed people time , very social. I now live on Vancouver Island and always stopped to spend time and chat with Clarence when I went home. There was lots of reminiscing and laughs. Sorry for the loss to the whole family

Q: How would you describe Clarence to someone who had never met them?
A: Clarence was an amazing, kind, funny, helpful and such a cheerful human and one of the best friends you can ask for! He loved everyone and no wonder, as soon as you met him, you loved Clarence as well! Clarence was always up for a fun adventure with Emily. She loved to dance with him, make fun, jumping and rolling in the grass, searching for bugs and the most - water fights in the summer! Every sunday it was our Clarence day and we looked forward to his visits! The world lost a great man who will be forever missed. Till we meet again our friend!

My sincere condolences to Bernadette, Darcy and all of Clarence's family and friends.
Clarence was my parents' neighbour for as long as I can remember. How many times I walked or drove past his home and saw that friendly smile and wave. He was a real people-person, social, warm and cheerful. I always thought he had an enthusiasm about life. He was certainly an important part of the fabric of the harbour and will be greatly missed.
I'm so sorry for your loss.

So sorry to hear of Clarence's passing Bernadette. I always remember seeing him dancing at the Saturday night dances at the Legion. I also remember him letting me drive my Uncle John Hunt's car at the Canso Loop when we came down for his funeral. I don't remember if I told you thT Uncle John was my Mother's baby brother. Hugs to you and Susan and Tanya..
