Doreen Alma (Forsythe) Alexander

February 14, 1934, January 22,2023

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Doreen Alexander at the Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston.  Doreen is survived by her daughter Brenda (Bradley) Morris, her son Peter (Shannon Walker), a very special sister Margaret Russell and brother Peter Forsythe.  She is also survived by three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Doreen was born in Miramichi and came to Port Hawkesbury sixty years ago. She became well known as an active member of the Port Hawkesbury Town Council being involved in many, many projects.  Doreen always wanted Port Hawkesbury to be a beautiful town as she worked towards planting trees, building parks and Caring for people.

Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at the Strait Richmond Hospital who provided excellent care to Doreen over the past year and also thanks to Tracey who sat with her during her long days and nights.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will be at a later date in St. Philips United Church Cemetery, Whitney, New Brunswick.  Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
