ROSE, Wayne Douglas "Doug" – It is with great sadness and shock that we announce the unexpected passing of Wayne Douglas "Doug" Rose, age 59 of Canso which occurred in Alberta.
Doug is survived by his mother, Pauline Rose; his spouse, Laura Snow; daughters, Wendy and Lezlie; step-children, Shaun Snow (Alicia) and Shannon Meads; brother, Tom (Patsy); sisters, Melda DeWolfe (Zvonko), Janet Roberts (Bob) and Tanya Wittig (Steve); niece, Elizabeth "Beth" Bartlett (James); nephews, Matthew DeWolfe (Jennifer) and Dalton Chase. Doug will also be greatly missed by extended family, friends and co-workers. Doug was predeceased by his father, Willis Rose.
Doug was a hard working and dedicated family man. He was known for his kindness and quirky sense of humour. He was also known for his love of the sea. He was always there to lend a hand when it came to mending nets or hauling pots.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Doug’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020, in the Canso Fire Hall from 4-8 p.m. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
