RHYNOLD, Leonard Arthur -Age 80, Melford, Guysborough County, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2020, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish . Leonard was the son of the late Baker and Lexie Rhynold of Phillip’s Harbour, Guysborough County. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Valerie (Walsh). Also left to mourn his passing are children, Rod (Glennis), Karen (Mario), Mark (Lisa), Donna, Kim (Dave), Chris (Courtney); grandchildren, Alan (Crystal), Mel, Courtney, Thomas, Grace, Abby, Emma, Maggie, Jessy; great-grandchildren Greyson and Maddox, who will miss their "Old Grampy;" sister, Judy (Jamie) Grant, of Guysborough; brother, Rick Moss (nephew) and many other nieces and nephews, family and friends. Besides his parents, Leonard was predeceased by brothers, Basil, Earl, Havelock, Leo, and Wayne; sisters, Beatrice and Eva; grandson, Matthew; and loyal companion, Bear. Leonard was employed by Port Hawkesbury Paper (Stora) until his retirement in 2002. He worked hard all his life, but was happiest puttering around his "back 40" and spending time with his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, for whom he always had a hug and a "Grampy joke."
