To all the Family so SORRY to hear of your Mother passing a lovely lady I had the honour of sitting with her as one of two councillor for Ward 3 , in the late 80`s we were on several committees together and had a lot of laughs , but when things got tight we had a lot of calls and stuck together and fully supported each other. Working with Elsie was a great experience and on the other side a lovely lady very Fair and down to earth. Thoughts and Prayers to you all.

Lorraine, I am so very sorry to learn that your Mother has passed away. My heart breaks for you, I know how very close you were to her. I remember all the talks that we had about our Moms and all the health struggles that they were going through over the last few years. It is so hard to loose a parent. You were so lucky that you had so many wonderful years with her and after reading her obituary, so did so many other people. She was definitely a pillar of the community and a very giving and loving woman. Cherish all the wonderful memories that you have of your Mom and let them take you to happy places. Lorraine I was saddened to read the announcement about your mother in the paper today. As soon as I saw the name I knew exactly who she was and I see your middle name was after your mother - a wonderful rememberance. She certainly was a role model. Life was not easy for sure and yet she was so accomplished and so vital in her family life and her community. Like most of us with our mothers most likely what she did was taken from granted. But in retrospect - wow! The last several years have been difficult for you and your family as your mother changed over time. It was wonderful that you all had an opportunity to be there for her when she needed you. Condolences at this sad time. Wonderful memories will always prevail.

I am so sorry to hear that your Mom has passed on. She was such a beautiful person and I was lucky to have known her my entire life. She gave unselfishly to her community over the years and was always so nice to me. Lynn and I visited her a few times last year and when Lorraine told her we were the Stanton girls I know that she remembered us. Dear Cousins, We are so very saddened to hear about Aunt Elsie's passing. We enjoy many fond memories of younger years playing down at the house on Main Street after Sunday School. She always greeted me with a smile and treated me like one of her own. Many times we'd sit nearby in church with Momma and they would have great old chuckles over things that happened through the week as they waited for Rennie or Neville to ring the church bell.
