Dear Jock and family, We were very sad to learn that Kathryn had passed away. Both Kathryn and Jim were very dear friends of my parents, Dr. and Mrs Guzdziol. They brought so much to the social life within my parents circle of friends in Port Hawkesbury, from the impromptu visits, to the fabulous spreads of food at the special parties hosted by Jim and Kathryn in their home. It is very sad to see our parents generation slowly being lost to us, but they have certainly left us with profound memories which we cherish so very much. Dear Jock, We have only met a few times. I am Dorothy's daughter with a brother, Jim, the oldest of the Fraser grandchildren. I am a little older than Gwen therefore we were very close and visited back and forth through the years. Katherine was the older sister and treated us thus!Jim knew your mother quite well as she kindly babysat their three girls. jen and mary visited kathrine last fall and told me that she was not doing very well. It must have been very hard for you being so far away. i remember you have a very beautiful daughter. i wish to send all of you my deepest sympathy on the loss of your mother and grandmother to your daughter. Jock, so sorry to hear about your moms passing. As you know your mom and dad were great friends of my parents and your mom was especially close to my mother. They had been great friends since their MT. A days and of course years later in Port Hawkesbury. I know it's tough to lose our parents but especially our moms regardless of age. Your mom was a great lady and will be missed by all that knew her. We are in Florida' and won't be able to attend the celebration but, we will be thinking of you and your mom and dad.
