Linda Cheryl Eisenhauer
August 12, 1947 – December 31, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Linda Eisenhauer (nee Munroe) of White Head, NS announce her peaceful passing on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024.
She will be lovingly remembered by her partner of 27 years, Dave Malone; sons, Jeff (Helen) of Hammonds Plains and Craig (Rosie) of Hubley; grandchildren; Peter, Hudson, Jaden and Jorja; her sister, Wanda (Keith) Rafuse, as well as many other family members and friends.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Ivory & Evelyn Munroe, her husband of 26 years, Peter, and her older brothers, Keddy, Brad, and Donnie.
Linda and Peter built a life together in Hammonds Plains, where they raised their boys. Linda was a long-standing member of the Hammonds Plains Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Linda retired after 29 years in a fulfilling career as Administrative Assistant/Coordinator at the Cancer Clinic – Dickson Building Halifax.
Linda then sought after her dream of restoring her generational family home in White Head, NS. In 1999, she began pouring her heart and soul into rejuvenating the historic property. Being passionate about her coastal ties and roots, Linda moved to White Head permanently with Dave in 2000. Establishing “Fox Berry by the Sea” bed and breakfast, Linda took pride in offering her beautiful home and property for others to experience.
When not travelling with Dave in their RV, Linda could always be found outside, taking in the fresh salty coastal air, growing pretty flowers in the fog and taking pride in their beautiful property.
Linda was an inspiration to those around her, her face always bright with a smile mirroring her fun spirited personality. This was easily seen in her yearly birthday swims in the cold salty White Head Harbour, her unforgettable baked treats she shared with those she loved as well as her time spent in the “Make and break Saloon” assisting Dave with his latest projects and conversing about the day.
Linda’s bright energy radiated positivity and her happiness for life.
Cremation has taken place; a private burial will take place at a later date.
Arrangements are under the care of Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
