Obituary of Arletta Margaret Pettipas

PETTIPAS, Arletta Margaret – 89, St. Francis Harbour, Guysborough Co., died Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the RK MacDonald Nursing Home in Antigonish, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in St. Francis Harbour, she was the daughter of the late Tobias Chisholm and Helen (Diggins) Chisholm of St Francis Harbour.

Arletta was a home maker and wife of the late Sherman Pettipas (married 49 years) and the mother of the late Lawrence (Larry) Pettipas.  She is survived by sons Brian (Paddy Boutilier), Allan (Dee MacDonald), Toby (Terri Adam) and daughters Lynn (Stephen Farrell) and Angie (Buzzy Munroe); 17 grand-children, Matthew, Luke, Josh, Craig, Megan, Kyle, Krysten, Erica, Leah, Dillan, Ashley, Taylor, Caylum, Aaron, Cory, Jake and Mackenzie and 17 great-children.  She also has many nieces, nephews and friends.  She will be missed dearly by all.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, from 3-7 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Guysborough.  Funeral mass will be held Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Francis Roman Catholic Church, St. Francis Harbour with Father Allan MacPhie officiating.  Burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
