Obituary of Elizabeth Rose MacRae-MacDonald
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Elizabeth Rose MacRae-MacDonald (Richard) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones in the Strait Richmond Hospital.
Elizabeth was born on September 9, 1940. She was the daughter of the late William and Evangeline (MacPhee) Richard, formerly of Hureauville. She was predeceased by her first husband, Donald John (Andrew) MacRae; daughter, Bonnie Lamey; grandson, Donald Lamey; as well as her siblings, Stella, Pete, Ceilia, Henry, Lewis, Raymond and Yvonne.
Elizabeth was a long time and hard working employee of the Skye Motel in Port Hastings. She loved her co-workers and enjoyed working there very much. She was a very resilient woman, who fought many health battles over the years and always came out stronger, the strongest woman we knew. Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards on her down time, but she was an avid crib player.
