Aunty Betty always showed great interest and care for her UK family, even at a distance. She was a comfort to us when our mother (her sister Anne) died. Visits in either direction were great events; I am glad that I have photographs that my mother took in NS and that we took when Betty visited. I will remember Betty as caring, cheerful and, in a quiet way, tough.
