Jimmy Bear, the best. He did so many things the right way. Volunteering his time in the community, generously, quietly and with such little fanfare that he often went without the credit he deserved, though he probably wanted it that way. He had the right motives. It was always about his family and making the community a better place. Not surprising, considering the example set by his parents and he is one of the reasons the Bear/MacIsaac name is so respected in our community. He was always there to lend a shoulder and offer wise counsel during tough times. I will miss him. Danny Romie

To Marion and Family, the MacIsaac and MacMaster Families!
It’s with a heavy heart that I hear of Jimmie’s passing! I had to pleasure to have met Jimmie during my university days at STFX as I was a classmate of Marian and Marina’s! I remember him as a very talented hockey player and most importantly a very kind person. I also remember his cool car that I had the pleasure to have ridden in from Antigonish to Judique!
God Bless
Paul

Dear Marion, Chad, Mathew, Kate, & the Macissac Family,
Following Jimmy's journey with his family in my daily prayer of offering was rewarding, I have learned of his spirit and wonderful faith. He and I enjoyed several conversations about his enjoyment of sports, appreciation of the great outdoors, love for family, and faith. I learned he was a no-nonsense type of a man the day I provided him with a "man hug" after a wonderful visit. He was kind enough to go along with the gesture when feeling uncomfortable with a hug from another man. We both learned that day about sincere understanding of our cultures.
We shared a few thoughts on the subject of expectation that went on to include God. In my humble opinion, I offered that Jesus is all loving with a sense of humour. He has no problem with a serious question like "Why Me Lord?" - Words from Kris Kristofferson's song.
Jimmy's courage inspired me to encourage him to be a fighter when dealing with cancer. His fight was not for himself as much as it was for his family and all who were counting on his recovery. A true champion for all of us to admire the numerous gifts he left for us to treasure. Those gifts and splendid memories will serve those he loved so much during the difficult days ahead.
Our deepest sympathy,
Gus & Shirley

I was saddened to hear of Jimmy's passing and offer my sincere condolences to his family. I am 100% certain he will be terribly missed.
Jimmy Mac Isaac was a fine person who was invaluable to me in my years working at the mill and the years following as we regularly traded gossip and news via the internet. We also shared a love of baseball ( Go Yankees!).
I will always remember Jimmy's steady presence and sage advice in our many office talks. Jimmy was a great role model for a younger man struggling to raise a family and I truly appreciated his support and friendship. Rest in peace Jimmy. The Yanks are bringing home the trophy for you this year bud.
