Obituary of Alyson Digdon

Please share a memory of Alyson to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

The family of Cherie “Alyson” Digdon are saddened to announce her passing on Friday, August 16, 2024.

Alyson was born on July 19, 1966, and was the first child of Sandra and the late Allison Digdon of Mulgrave, NS.

Alyson held various jobs throughout her life but was most proud of her time as a hairdresser for 3’s Company Hair Design in Lower Sackville, NS. Even though she hadn’t worked there for many years she often spoke of her time there.

Alyson enjoyed every trip she made to visit her hometown of Mulgrave, most times with her mother, Sandra, accompanying her.

Alyson is survived by her mother, Sandra Digdon, Antigonish; her sister, Carol (Terry) Spicer of Timberlea; her brother, Wylie (Cher) Digdon of Bedford; her nieces, Claire Spicer of Timberlea, Brooklyn and Blake Digdon of Bedford; her nephew, Luke Spicer of Halifax and her great nephew Kade LeBlanc-Spicer of Timberlea. She also leaves behind her beloved cat, Diggy, named after her late brother, Dwayne.

She was predeceased by her father Allison Digdon and her younger brother Dwayne Digdon.

Visitation will be at the Mulgrave and Area Resting Place on Sunday, August 25 from 6-8 pm. The funeral will take place at Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury on Monday, August 26 at 2pm. Donations in Alyson’s memory may be made to The Mulgrave Heritage Centre or The Mulgrave and Area Resting Place. Family flowers only please.
