Q: What 3 words best describe Angus and why?
A: Angus always had smile for you and very pleasant conversation. He will be missed, he was my Dad's first cousin. My Dad spoke of Angus often, a cousin and a good friend. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife and family.

So sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. But at the same time, reading about him made me smile. All your family reflect an obvious inherited passion and ability for whatever your interests. If only we can all live such a good life into old age. Take care of yourselves.

My mother Fidelle thought the world of her older cousin Lawrence. Her visits at their grandparents’ place were some of the most anticipated occasions of her childhood. He grew up to become a calm, capable man which was never more evident than when I, at age twelve, injured myself at the Creignish ballfield. He and Clare scooped me up, splinted my arm, and drove me and Mom to Strait Richmond as smoothly as if it were routine — with six of their own, maybe it was. As I grew older I realized that not every adult has the caring instinct Lawrence demonstrated that day. He was such a fine man and lived a fine life.

Lare,
No wonder you are such a gem!
It appears your kindness, work ethic, family values, curiosity, generosity, energy, enthusiasm, and love of a foot-stompin' good time is genetic.
How lucky are you to have had such a shining light in your life for so many years.
Big hug to you and your family.

Condolences on the death of Lawrence.I had the pleasure of accompanying him on early morning golf rounds at Dundee a few years ago. It was fun. One of the guarantees was that the round would be finished in near record time. He was always tinkering with his game and his favourite expression was “where did I go wrong “. We had friendly competition and the phrase was just as applicable to me as to him.
One morning in the parking lot he spotted a problem with my car. He insisted that I take it to his place for repairs.. I trundled over to Creignish and in no time the problem was fixed. Wouldn’t take anything for it and I scored some tea and buiskits compliments of Claire in the bargain.

Deepest sympathy to Clare and family. Lawrence was a thoughtful man. Whenever I would see him in Port Hawkesbury he and Clare would be together so I realize your loss is tremendous. I will be away so unable to express sympathy in person, therefore, I am sending you my thoughts & prayers during this difficult time.

Clare and family,
We are very sorry for your loss.
The obituary captured Lawrence perfectly. We were so fortunate to meet Lawrence when he rented us the old homestead. We remember those years fondly. He was the best landlord, from snowclearing to fixing things in the house and of course some fresh lobster in the season, Lawrence was the best. He even fixed up the old Honda Civic for our boys when it needed it. We have good memories and thank you.
