Obituary of Margaret Teressa MacLennan

MacLennan, Margaret Teressa – 81, Whycocomagh, Inverness Co., Passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital, Inverness.  Born in Port Hilford, Guysborough County, she was a daughter of the late George and Irma (Mills) MacKinnon.

Margie is survived by her daughters, Irma Punch, Whycocomagh, Laura (Ian) MacDougall, East Lake Ainslie, Jacqui (Darren) MacIntosh, Valley; sisters, Mary MacKinnon, Jennie MacKinnon and Jessie MacKinnon; grandchildren, Alissa, Ryan, Grace, Teressa, Andrew, Rylee; great grandchildren, John Ainslie, Finn and Lauchlan.  Besides her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Jackie and an infant son, William Alexander.

Visitation will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 2 -4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh.  Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2024 in St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Andrew MacDonald officiating.  Burial in Little Narrows Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Margie may be made to the Central Inverness County Palliative Care Society.  Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
