Dear Jason & family,
Greg & I are so sorry for your loss. Cecile will always be our Canadian Mum. We were so inspired by the warmth and generosity she & Bernie showed us when Jason kindly invited us home for Thanksgiving dinner, only days after we met during our first trip to Nova Scotia. Fast forward 26 years & a long distance friendship we cherish. Over the years we made lots of wonderful memories - almost all involving a feast & always lots of laughter!
We will miss her humour & her smile but will look forward to remembering all the wonderful times we shared next time we visit.
Good night, God bless Cecile.
All our love from Bonnie Scotland,
Emma & Greg

Cecile will always be “Mom” to me. She welcomed me into her home and treated me just like her own children. She was a kind, warm person; never judging, always accepting of anyone she encountered. I admired her ability to be honest at the same time being kind and humorous! Absence of her big personality will be missed from the room. My sincere condolences go out to her family and friends ❤️

As we add our voices to the chorus of those mourning the loss of Cecile, we do so with heavy hearts yet full of gratitude for the light she brought into our lives. Cecile's kindness knew no bounds, touching not just the fabric of Little Dover but weaving a tapestry of compassion and support that enveloped the Bouchie, Boudreau, and Colp families that I can attest directly to. She was a guardian angel to us, embodying grace and generosity in every gesture and word.
In this collection of remembrances, our note joins others in painting a portrait of a woman whose legacy is as vast as the community she cherished and uplifted. Cecile's spirit of benevolence extended far beyond the confines of kinship or friendship, reaching anyone in need of support or a kind word. Her contributions to our families and the broader community have left an indelible mark, one that will be remembered and revered for generations.
To Cecile's family, we extend our heartfelt sympathy, knowing that the void left by her passing cannot easily be filled. Yet, in this shared space of grief and memory, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through the countless lives she touched. May you find solace in the knowledge that her legacy of love and community service continues to inspire all who knew her.
As we reflect on Cecile's extraordinary life, let us carry forward her mission of kindness, unity, and compassion. May our memories of her and the stories shared in these pages serve as a beacon of hope and a call to action to live as she did, with open hearts and hands ready to help.
With our deepest condolences and shared memories,
Dr. Mitch Colp on behalf of himself, Jen Colp, Rita Colp, Howard Colp, Kelly Conway, Lisa Conway, and the rest of our extended families.

So very sorry to hear of Cecile's passing. What a wonderful lady. She was a great friend to Mom, they faithfully called each other to gossip and when Mom got sick before she passed, your Mom always checked up on her. She will certainly be missed in the community, pretty sure everyone had a pair of her knit socks at one point or another in their life. Sending you all my sincere condolences.

I have few great memories, always hug at the open door, a kitchen full of food, great laughter in my visits, sitting in her livingroom looking out to the ocean. You never left Cecile’s without belly full of food, baking to go, and some beautiful knitted socks. She will be missed. I feel very blessed to know her for the years I did.

To Angela, Sherry & Jason,
My deepest sympathies to you and your families. Your Mom was just the kindest and funniest woman. Cecile enjoyed a long chat and the odd swear word and most likely said lots of prayers at the end of each day. Her generosity knew no end. I left on my last visit with an enormous bag of hats, mittens and socks for the charity we support. We had a great afternoon, she talked at length of Bernie, you and all your children. I am privileged to have shared her friendship as did my parents and siblings. Sending warm thoughts as you navigate this world without her. Love to you all.
