Bond, Ronald Charles of Canso, NS – It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ronald at home on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the age of 87. Born in Port Felix he was the son of the late Alonzo and Elizabeth (DeCoste) Bond.
Ronald was a school bus driver for 37 years until his retirement in 2001. He was an avid carpenter and craftsman and shared many of his creations with others. He was a jack of all trades. He had a great fondness for the home care workers who came to his home.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Shirley (Richardson); sisters, Louise (Pat) Casey, Betty (Wayne) Ehler and Kay Samson; sisters-in-law, Julie (Don) Bond and Marie Richardson, many nieces and nephews; special friend, Paul Munroe.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his in-laws, Edith and Lloyd Richardson; sister-in-law, Beatrice Nickerson; brothers-in-law, Dave and Lloydie Richarson and Doug Samson; nephew, Carmen Casey;
In keeping with Ronald’s wishes there will be no wake or funeral. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in Ronald’s memory to Canso Seaside Manor.
