GOOGOO, Kenneth John – Age 58, We'koqma'q First Nation, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024, in the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Baddeck, he was the son of the late Michael John and Emily (Googoo) Googoo.

Kenneth loved his motorcycles and loved to go for a ride just about anywhere. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, Sil, Muk, Kelly, Andrew, Little Joe, Dodd, John Mar, Eric, Alexander etc. He was a former Band Councilor serving for 2 terms. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and was a special dad to Ellie.

Surviving is his wife, Angela (Phillips) Googoo; daughter, Emmy Lee; sons, Manuel Earl (Dawn), Jesse James (Shania); raised sister-in-law, Poopsie Paul; sisters, Joan Christie, Dolena Poulette, Connie Peck, Judy Googoo, Sylvia Googoo; brothers, Angus and Billy; grandchildren, Ellie Lee, Kensleigh, Leo, Anna; godchildren, Jarvis Googoo, Harrison Paul, Adrian Pictou, Kendyl Sylliboy, Barbara Googoo, Brayden Googoo, Elizabeth Francis, Joseph Phillips, Colby Basque and Heartly Bernard. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Misty Rain; brothers, Sonny, Earl, Frank and John in infancy and special weekender, Johnny Cremo.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 8 in the We'koqma'q Community Centre, 15 Reservation Rd. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday from Blessed Kateri Parish, Waycobah with Father Joby Augustin officiating. A meal and salite will follow at We'koqma'q Mi'kmaq School, 80 Reservation Road, We'koqma'q. Burial will be Saturday, June 15.  Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at www.haverstocks.com
