Obituary of William Charles Roache
Roache, William Charles “Billy” - Sudbury, Ontario.
William Charles Roache, known to his friends and family as "Billy," passed away suddenly on September 27, 2023, at the age of 55. Billy was born on October 20, 1967, in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, and was the son of Charles Roache and the late Wanitta (Murdock) Roache.
Billy began his career as a sheet metal worker with Local 409 and later moved to Ontario, where he worked for various mining companies.Throughout his life, Billy's passions included his devotion to his children – he was a proud father. Bodybuilding, demonstrating his strength and dedication in the gym. He was a skilled handyman, always ready to take on home reno projects. Billy had a love for animals, and he enjoyed the company of his many cats and dogs.
Billy will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife, Betty Gould; his children, Joseph, Sean, and Betty; his father, Charles Roache; his sister, Danette Pyle (Roache), his one and only godchild, Doris Gould, many nieces and nephews, and his extended family. He will forever be in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at 160 Reservation Road, also known as the ‘Blue Building’ We’koqma’q First Nations, on Friday, October 27th beginning at 4 p.m. till Saturday, October 28th. Funeral service to celebrate Billy's life will be held on Saturday, October 28, at 10 a.m. in Saint Kateri Holy Trinity Church, We’koqma’q First Nation.
