Obituary of Vincent Charles Martin Sr.
Martin, Vincent Charles Sr. Age 48 – We’koqma’q First Nations. Passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Vincent was born in Inverness on February 6, 1975; a son of Mary Anne (Mollyon)(Paul) Martin and the late Stephen Martin.
He was a member of St. Kateri Parish and belonged to Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, We’koqma’q. With the love of music coursing through his veins, Vincent could sing any tune and make it his own. In a voice that brought sweet memories of his late father, Ekkian. Vincent’s voice was beautiful. I’m sure that Vincent was given a seat immediately at the angels’ choir. Vincent, your songs will be remembered.
If you knew Vincent well, you would know his sense of humor was spot on. His laughter was loud and unique. He liked poking fun and teasing his friends and family all in good nature. Growing up in the subdivision, Vincent remained friends to the end with the “Subdivision Crew” to this day their motto stands strong, and they have friends for life. That friendship was sealed true when Stuart Basque, Jason Paul and Vincent all had the same tattoo done. To all his nitaps (friends) our hearts go out to you.
