Poppa was an incredibly funny, kind, and lovely soul. When I was little we all went out to the causeway and he gave me his rod, which of course “magically” had a mackerel on it and I caught my first fish that day. We fed that fish to tigger the little orange tomcat together. He was a great man, a great father, a great grandfather, and an amazing great grandfather. He also raised 6 incredibly kind, funny, and loving children. Poppa will always be one of the greatest men I’ve come to know and he will never be forgotten for the positive impacts he’s made on his family and community ❤️

Dear Maureen , George , Tim, Cullen and Michael.
My memories of the Bolger home in Point Tupper are plenty. Always a safe haven for any teenager to walk into. It was grand central in that small village. Your house was full of love and knowledge- I remember the stacks of books. Pats wisdom and Marie’s sharp answers set the tone to raising a beautiful family. These memories will live on with others as we honor your parents - especially this week as you have lost your beloved father and recently the loss of my dear friend Johnny- your brother.

Dear Maureen and all the family - we are all feeling the pain right now at the loss of you wonderful dad and my loving brother. Paddy was an inspiration to me. We always kept in touch and his sense of humour was something else. Take comfort in knowing he is having a happy reunion with your mom and brother John and grandparents, of course.
