Obituary of Alice Loretta MacIsaac

With broken hearts we regret to inform you of the peaceful passing of our cherished mother ALICE LORETTA MACISAAC, at her home in Port Hawkesbury on Wednesday,  August 9, 2023.

 

Mom’s first love was her family, raising three children as a single parent early in her adult life. Her children and grandchildren were her world. Mom selflessly assisted hundreds of people in need in her community, often anonymously, expecting nothing in return. She will be dearly missed by her children, Zonda (Paul), Kelly (Natalie) and Stuart (Chantal); also, by her four grandchildren, Jordan, Taylor, Alex and Aidan, who she was so very proud of. She also shared a special, long-term relationship with her companion Roddie, who loved and cared for her until her passing. We, as a family, are eternally grateful to him for his love and dedication to her and his promise to look after her furbabies Norman and Alibaba. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Dan Hughie and Stella Mac Master.  

She is also survived by her former husband, Johnny D. MacIsaac of Troy, her sister Louise MacDonald of Judique and her “special” sister Phyllis Fraser formerly of Cape Breton, NS.

 

There will be no visitation and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.
