Obituary of Gloria Jenesta (Hendsbee) Mosher
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our cherished Wife, Mother and Grandmother. Gloria Jenesta Mosher (Hendsbee), 78 of Fox Island gained her angel wings on July 29th surrounded by her family.
Jenesta is extremely loved and will be missed deeply by her husband Wesley and children Darlene, Charlie, May (Tracey), Artie (Dess), Gordie (Lorna), Hank (Ang), Carolyn (Sean), Stacey (Scott) and Odessa. She was the most amazing Nanny to Amanda, Gordie (Bro), Bruce, Crystal, MJ, Ryan, Tory, Katlyn, Shanelle, Cody, Dillon, Desiree, Tristan, Charley, Cole, Hunter and Braeden; also Great Nanny to Kevin, Jace, Abby, Jesslyn, Nova, Landon, Mackinleigh, Finnley (Finn-Finn), Xavier, Lincoln, Ashlyn, Delilah and Deklan.
She is survived by her sisters Amy, Jenny and Shirley; sister in laws Rosina, Tina, Ada and Ida and brother in laws Alvin and Ronnie.
Jenesta lived a full life where family was her everything. Her final words to us were "Make sure you look after my Grandkids!" as they were her shining stars. Not only did she raise her own children, she was a second mother to many nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed her card plays, Bingo, darts and following her favorite band Newfie Fever around to kick off her shoes and dance the jig with her loving Husband Wes.
Jenesta lived a very simple life where her door was always open and the teapot always full for anyone who may stop in. She always said "Come in if you can get in!"
She was predeceased by her parents Arthur Hendsbee and Laura Horne, Mother and Father in law Bill and Nellie Mosher, Son in law Kevin DeMont, Grandson Corey and Granddaughters Morgan and Maddie, brother Wylie, sisters Lena, Muriel and Glennie, Laura and Gladys in infancy, brother in laws Ivan, Doug, Billy and Ben, sister in laws Sheila, Margaret and Sylvia.
In true Jenesta fashion, her wish was to come home to be surrounded by her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday August 3 from 6 to 9 and Friday from 11 am until you decide you want to go home, we will keep her door open for all. Service will be in the United Baptist Church in Canso on Saturday August 5 at 2 pm with Rev. David Wheeler officiating. Committal to follow at the Bayview Cemetery, Half Island Cove. Donations in her honor can be made to the IWK Childrens Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
