Bonnie Lynn Lamey Obituary

Bonnie Lynn Lamey

Cleveland

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bonnie Lynn Lamey on Sunday, July 23, 2023, suddenly at her home in Cleveland. She was born Jan 25, 1961, to the late Donald (Andrew) Mac Rae and Elizabeth (Richard) Mac Rae.

Bonnie was predeceased by her son Donald, her father Donald Andrew, her niece Sandi and brothers-in-law Peter, Howie and Miller, sister-in-law Anne, several special cousins and many aunts and uncles.

She will be lovingly missed by her mother Liz Kenley MacDonald, husband and soulmate Billy, son William and grandchildren Hallie, Madison and Cameron. Her sisters Patricia (Fred), Long Stretch; Jennie (Guy), Petit de Grat; brothers, Donnie (Sue) Dartmouth; Randy (Amanda,) Hureauville; and Shawn (Lisa), Westphal. Many nieces and nephews will have wonderful memories of visiting Bonnie and being offered their favorite treats and goodies.

Bonnie had a love for animals, especially dogs, she had many over the years and leaves behind Sandy and her 5 newborn pups. She had a deep passion for hunting, fishing, canoeing and loved to elaborate on her catches, of which she had many. She played softball in her younger years and was a great asset to her team. Many of Donald and Williams’ friends enjoyed staying over and Bonnie loved to cook for them and always made them feel welcome in their home. But her greatest joy was having 3 precious grandchildren which she loved dearly.

We would like to thank the RCMP, EHS and special thanks to Jennifer and Amy of the West Bay Road and District Volunteer Fire Dept for their swift, compassionate, and professional response; Dr. Paul Pluta, and staff of Northside General Hospital Pain Clinic; especially Dr. Pollett, and Dr. Seiff, which Bonnie attended for many years. Visitation will take place in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury on   Friday, July 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 29 at 1:00 pm in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church, Lower River Inhabitants with Father Duncan MacIsaac officiating.

Family flowers only please. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Bonnie to St. Francis De Sales Cemetery Fund or The Canadian Lung Association. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
