Dear Mary, Barb, Kristy, Joey and families, I was deeply saddened to hear of Joe’s passing. Heaven has gained another very special angel. Joe did an amazing makeover at our house, Doug loved working along side of him everyday. When Joe called one day and asked Doug to give him a call. I had no idea he had made Doug’s very special place to lay. Doug was so proud of this he showed it to all. He would say this is my final resting place that Joe made for me. All of Joe’’s work was meticulously done. He was one of the kindest, most genuine person we both ever knew. Your memories will be what helps you all get through this very difficult time. I worked with Joe at the Mill, and my father, Norman Warner Sr., worked closely with Joe as well. Both being carpenters, and aside from their regular jobs, they spent many hours building outstanding floats for the Festival of the Strait. Joe was well respected by his peers and my father always spoke of Joe’s kindly manner to others, his integrity, and his meticulous attention to detail in his work. I know he will surely be missed by those close to him, and I send my sincere condolences to his family. May the good Lord bless and keep him.
