Obituary of Ruby Maureen Delilah Andrews

Andrews, Ruby Maureen Delilah (Sangster) – formerly of Guysborough passed away peacefully on January 9, 2023 in High Crest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke, NS.  Born on January 10, 1938 in New Harbour, NS.

Ruby was a resident of High Crest Nursing Home, Sherbrooke since December 2021, where she enjoyed playing Dominoes and doing the Lexicon puzzle with other residents.  She also enjoyed the local singers who came to entertain and the local bus trips in the summer.

Ruby is survived by her son, Ira (Debbie), Bobcaygeon, ON; sister, Helen Nickerson, New Harbour, NS and many nieces and nephews.  Ruby was predeceased by her husband, Lloyd (2003); her parents, Robert Lester and Cora May (Sangster) Sangster; sister, Dora Ernst; brothers, Charles, Harris, Gordon, Willard and Keith and Harry in infancy.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Evergreen Cemetery, Guysborough with Rev. David Wheeler officiating.  Donations in memory of Ruby may be made to a charity of your choice.
