Boudreau, Donald Edward “Donnie” Age 77- Evanston, Richmond Co. It is with deep sadness we the family of Donald Edward Boudreau announce his passing on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in the Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home, Port Hawkesbury. Donald was born in Halifax; a son of the late Edward and Mildred (Harding) Boudreau of Poulamon.
Donald worked as a store manager for many grocery and convenience stores in and around Halifax, Port Hawkesbury, and St. Peter’s. Donald was well respected for his kindness and thoughtfulness and was known for becoming instant friends with whoever he met. An avid darts player and bowler, Donnie loved to spend his free time with those who he loved, and they loved to spend their time with him. His smile and quick wit ensured that anyone around him enjoyed every moment.
He is survived by his wife, Donna (Proctor) Boudreau; step-daughters, Shauna (Adam) Cotton, Louisdale; Stacy (Brian) Carmichael, Bedford; step-son, Jason (Angie) Richardson, Evanston; sisters, June (Danny) Ferguson, Dartmouth; Sandra Lowe, Dartmouth; brothers, Gary, Evanston; Earl (Valerie) Bible Hill; beloved grandchildren and great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Leslie (Betty) Boudreau.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at a later date in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Whiteside. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
