Obituary of Denton Roney Ehler

EHLER, Denton Roney - of Whycocomagh, NS, died peacefully on Thursday, November 24^th 2022, in the Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.

Denny is survived by his wife of 66 years, Christine Cecilia (MacLean); his three sons, Denton (Janet), Skye Glen; Randy (Beverly), Whycocomagh; and Arthur (Elaine), Whycocomagh; Grandchildren, Tammy, Alicia, Ryan (Danielle), Cassandra (Brent), Candice, Mya and Great-Grandchildren, Abby, Ryley and Hayden. He is also survived by his siblings, Vernon (Loretta), Lee (Anna), Harry (Cathy), Calvin, Emden, Isabel (Foreman) and sister-in-law, Lillian. He was predeceased by his mother, Rita; father, Arthur; brothers, Garnet, Arnold and sister, Linda.

His family would like to express gratitude to the staff of Inverness Consolidated Memorial and Palliative Care Unit.

There will be no visitation by request. Funeral mass will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 in Blessed St. Kateri Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, Waycobah at 11 a.m. with Father Bernie MacDonald officiating. There will be committal service immediately following at St. Dionysius Roman Catholic Cemetery, River Denys. And then we invite you to join us at the Whycocomagh fire hall at 2:30 p.m. for a reception. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
