SWAIN, Roy Grant - 78, Port HGastings, a resident of Richmond Villa , St. Peters, for the past two years and a former resident of Point Tupper, died Tuesday December 2, 2003 in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Mulgrave, Guysborough Co., he was a son of th elate James and Rena (Oliver) Swain. He owned and operated a machine shop in Petit de Grat, and later retired as a machinist from Stora Enso, Point Tupper. He was an adherent of St. David's United Church, Port Hastings. He was a Veteran of the Secong World War and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 43. A founding member of the Strait of Canso Yacht Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Patsy MacIntyre; daughter, Myrta (Tom), Zurich, Switzerland; sisters, Myrta Butt, Glace Bay, Jean (Doug) Gray, Halifax, Glenda (Curtis) Langley, Halifax; brothers Lester (Laura), Port Hastings, Earl (Kay), North Sydney; granddaughter Kaylin. He was predeceased by infant son, Brian Grant, brother Charlie and sister Kaye Martin. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 pm Friday December 5 and 2-4, 7-9 pm Saturday December 6 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hwaksbury. Funeral Service 2 pm Sunday December 7, in St. David's United Church, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating. Burial in Southbrook Cemetery, Port Hawksbury.
