Landry, Jeanette Marie – River Bourgeois July 10, 1952 – August 25, 2022

We the family of Jeanette Landry, AKA "NEE" are saddened by her passing on August 25, 2022 at the age of 70.

Jeanette was a quiet, gentle soul with a love for her family that was immeasurable. She would never turn down a game of crib or rumoli, her daily outings to Tim Hortons for a tea (with one milk only) and to chat with the morning coffee gang or a family dinner at Tannis’ house, with pork roast being her dinner of choice. She was an earth loving soul loving birds, squirrels and any other wildlife she could feed. She enjoyed caring for her many plants, and in times past meticulously tending to her many flower gardens on the homestead.

Nee will be dearly and forever missed by her sister, Lucille Martell (Paul), River Bourgeois; brother, Blaise (Gretchen), Baddeck; her endeared Godchildren, Charline Covin, Dartmouth; Tannis Gillis, River Bourgeois and Melanie Landry, Baddeck. She also leaves to mourn her brother-in-law, Donnie Pottie and sister-in-law, Vera Bourque both of River Bourgeois; 11 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews. Nee was predeceased by her parents, John and Rita Landry, brothers, Georgie and Lloyd; sister, Therese and nephew Chad, all of River Bourgeois.

Visitation will be held from 2–4 and 7–9 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in River Bourgeois Community Resting Place. Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 7, 2022 in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, River Bourgeois with Father John Yake officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Strait Richmond Health Care Foundation or to Nova Scotia Cancer Society.
