Vienneau, Marie Rose – 86, Port Hawkesbury, we are deeply saddened that our Mother has left this earth to join our Dad on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 in the Guysborough Memorial Hospital, Guysborough. They are now at Peace. Marie was born in Grande-Entrée, Iles -de-la- Madeleine; she was a daughter of the late Onésime and Cloréne (Duclos) Bénard. She was a seamstress and a member of St. Joseph Parish, Port Hawkesbury, an avid bingo player and she was devoted to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupré. Marie is survived by daughters, Laurine (Carroll) O’Neil, New Glasgow; Linda Vienneau, Truro; Jean (Vince) Ramsay, Moncton; Michelle (Mark) Britten, Port Hawkesbury; sons, Hubert (Frances), Port Hastings; Robert, Port Hood; Victor and Donnie (Clair) both of Port Hawkesbury; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great- great-grandchildren. Marie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Merv, son, Nelson Andrew, grandson, Jaimie Britten, 4 sisters and 2 brothers. There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Port Hawkesbury with Father Andrew Boyd officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Marie may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
