Matilda MacIntosh Obituary

MacIntosh, Matilda … 83, Orangedale passed away Saturday March 10, 2007 in Victoria County Memorial Hospital, Baddeck. Born on Lingan, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mathilda (Burke) Kelly. Matilda was a member of Orangedale United Church. She was a member of the West Bay Entertainers for many years and truly enjoyed playing “the music”. She enjoyed going to bingo, playing cards and the “barn parties” in Lingan. Her dog “Timmy” was her best Buddy. She is survived and Missed by children Earl (Marilyn), Orangedale: Annie (Leroy) MacRury, Whycocomagh: Keith (Irene) New Zealand; grandchildren Dennis, Fort McMurray; Vanessa, Toronto; Colleen (Barry), River Denys; great-grandchildren Hannah and Chloe; brother Johnnie, Lingan; sister Kelly, New Jersey. She is predeceased by husband Daniel MacIntosh, son John Kevin, brothers Charlie and Art, sisters Clara, Eve, Mattie, Josie and Marg.


Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh. Funeral will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Orangedale United Church with Rev. Janet Blois officiating. Burial in Malagawatch cemetery at a later date. Family flowers only, please. Donations in Matilda’s memory may be made to Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or SPCA.
