TOWER, Lawrence 'Turk' - 75, Port Hawkesbury, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2005, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Amherst, he was the son of the late Irvine and Ella (Chapman) Tower. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Stora Enso, Point Tupper, and the past president of Local 972 Communication Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada. He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Sutton); sons, Jeff (Michelle), Troy; Stephen (Cathy), Long Point; daughter, Cheryl, St. Peter's; grandchildren, Colby, Reanna, Jade, Tia, Shari, Bradley and Erin. He was predeceased by his son, Dale; sister, Muriel Cormier. No visitation, funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury, Rev. Wilfred Pelley officiating. Burial will be in Southbrook Cemetery.
