Taylor (Armsworthy), Dorothy Annette "Dolly" - 44, Halifax formerly of Canso, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Dartmouth General Hospital. She was born and raised in Canso, a daughter of the late Albert and Dorothy (Rice) Armsworthy and also to Patricia (Armsworthy) MacDonald and late Tony Peitzsche. After graduating from Canso High School, Dolly successfully completed a Hair Dressing and Secretarial Courses. Dolly was loving mother to son, Jeffrey Newell, daughters, Jessie Newell and Josie Taylor, stepson, Gilmour Taylor. She is also survived by her husband, Mark Taylor; brothers, Adrian (Mary), Seward, Eric (Marg), John (Meg), Finlay (Irene), David (Cheryl); sisters, Velda, Michelle and Jolene; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place 2-9 p.m. Friday, December 14 in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso. Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso with Father Daniel MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
