STANLEY, Paul Joseph -65, Havre Boucher. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Paul passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2014, in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish, with family by his side. Born in Charlottetown, he was a son of the late Herb and Eleanor (Matheson) Stanley. He moved to the area in the late 1960’s. Paul was the owner/manager of Magic Muffler in Port Hawkesbury for many years. He thoroughly enjoyed horse racing and hockey, but his greatest love was his family. When he wasn’t working, he could often be found hanging out with his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Iris (Mattie); sons, Herbie, Darcy (Leasa), all of Fort McMurray AB and Mark (Kim) Fort Saskatchewan AB; grandchildren, Melanie, Brett, Brody, Madison, Ryan, Ben, Keagan, Jake, Reese and Oliver; brothers, Barry (Grace), Wayne, all of Calgary; Doug (Jean), Charlottetown; and Rennie (Cathy), Burlington Ont. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Sunday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday in St. Paul’s Centre, Havre Boucher. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday from St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church, Havre Boucher with Father Allan MacPhie officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or to a charity of one’s choice.
