Scott, Angus Arthur – age 82, Skye Glen, Inverness Co. The Scott family sadly announces the passing of Angus Arthur Scott on Sunday, July 6, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones, in Inverness Consolidated Memorial Hospital. Born in Centerville, Inverness Co., on November 5, 1931 to the late Frank and Catherine (MacPhail) Scott.
He was a member of Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh and a member of the AOTS Men’s Club. Angus was a retired silverculture worker. He loved watching sports and enjoyed having visitors.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Janet (MacInnis); sisters, Evelyn Gillis, Skye Glen; Pearl MacDonald, Elliott Lake; Catherine Cox (Clifford), Grande Prairie, Alta.; Isabell (Denis) Bernard, Port Hawkesbury; brothers, Peter, Frank (Nancy) and Wendell (Wendy) all of Toronto, Ont.; sisters-in-law, Sarah Scott, L’Ardoise; Anita Scott, Sydney and Rita Stanford, Gander, NL; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Murdock, Donald, Harry, George, Jackie and James.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Whycocomagh. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday from Stewart United Church, Whycocomagh with Rev. Chris Matheson officiating. Burial will follow in Skye Glen Cemetery. Reception to follow in Skye Glen-Centreville Community Hall. Memorial donations may be made to Stewart United Church or Skye Glen Cemetery. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
