SCOTT, Marvin William Sr. - 73, Steep Creek, Guysborough Co., passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, in Guysborough Memorial Hospital. Born in Middle Melford, Guysborough Co., he was a son of the late Leonard and Lula Leona (Jamieson) Scott. Marvin loved and cherished his 2 grandchildren. He enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing, playing crib with his neighbours and most of all a good time in the old camp at West Lake with a glass of spirits. Marvin was a forestry and construction worker. Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Lina McKay; sons, Marvin Jr. (Shaunna), Pirate Harbour; Richard, Kentville; sister, Charlotte Warner, Steep Creek; brothers, Basil, Steep Creek; Earl, Massachusetts, USA; grandchildren, Cameron and Olivia; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Ervin, Edward, Raymond; sister, Stella. There will be no visitation or funeral service by Marvin’s request. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Middle Melford, Guys Co., with Rev. Evelyn Knorr officiating.
