RYAN, Florence Rita - 70, Canso, died January 27, 2004, in St. Martha's Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Canso, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Estella (Rhynold) Bond. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Canso Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary of Branch No. 46, Royal Canadian Legion, Canso, member of Canso Veterans Club and the Star of the Sea Parish, Canso. Surviving are daughters, Mary (Alex) Nickerson, Canso; Estella (Bruce) Jamieson, Port Hawkesbury; sons, Patrick (Kay), Canso; Paul (Kathy), Lawrencetown, Halifax Co.; Charles (Jackie), Canso; sisters, Nellie Lewis, Glace Bay; Catherine (Eugene) Hemeon, Halifax; Anita Gavin, Cape George; Marie (Leo) King, Evanston; Margie (Ainsley) Penny, Canso; brothers, Jack (Bernice), Walter (Jean), both of Canso; Dave (Celina), Sydney; grandchildren, Samantha, John, Patrick, Ashley, Ryan, Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Kandace and Madeline. She was predeceased by her husband, John; son, Johnny; granddaughter, Chrissy Lee; brother, Charles; sisters, Jean and Elizabeth. Resting in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Canso, with visitation Friday and Saturday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday in Star of the Sea Church, Canso, Rev.
