RYAN, Gardiner Joseph - 92, Shelburne, and formerly of Port Hawkesbury, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2006. Born in Port Hawkesbury, he was a son of the late Fred and Louise (Warner) Ryan. Gardiner was a carpenter and a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury. Surviving are daughters, Anita (Bob) Roberts, Port Hawkesbury; Mary (Raymond) Davis, Shelburne; Edna (Garnie) Hogg, Shelburne; Marilyn, Vancouver; Ann Cordeau, Newport; Bernadette Clarkson, Vancouver; sons, Junior (Wanda), Pleasant Hill; Peter (Mary), Port Hawkesbury; Gerard, Sydney; Johnny, Vancouver; sisters, Gertie Coffin, Melville; Irene Murray, Riverside; Kay Murphy, Lower Sackville; 23 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by daughter, Priscilla; brothers, Henry, Ernest, Fred; sisters, Stella and Betty. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial in parish cemetery.
