MacQUARRIE, Levina Catherine "Vinnie" - 80, Port Hawkesbury, died Sunday, July 16, 2006, in Strait Richmond Hospital, Evanston. Born in Port Hawkesbury, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Ellen (MacRae) Johnson. Vinnie was a homemaker and a woman of deep faith and was a member of St. Joseph's Parish, Port Hawkesbury. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and took great pride in her cooking and distributing it to her many friends and neighbours. One of her greatest joys was watching wrestling. She is survived by daughters, Linda, Port Hawkesbury; Carol Ann (Jacques) Sauvé, Lower Sackville; sons, Thomas, Robert, Gordon (Tracy), all of Port Hawkesbury; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great great-granddaughter, Tyana; several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Allan Dan; daughter, Sadie Lewis; sisters, Susan Rudolph, Christie MacMaster and Edith Richards; brother, George Johnson; daughter-in-law, Beverly; granddaughter, Baby Dana. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today with a vigil service at 8:30 p.m. in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury. Funeral mass will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Father Bill Crispo officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery.
