MacPHERSON, Donald Fraser - 88, Blues Mills, Inverness Co., died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at home. Born in River Denys, he was a son of the late Duncan and Katherine (MacQueen) MacPherson. He was a retired employee of the Department of Highways. He was a member of River Denys Presbyterian Church and a member of Clan MacPherson Association. He was a veteran of the Second World War serving overseas with the Canadian Army. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 123, Whycocomagh. Surviving are sisters, Isabel Macdonald, Blues Mills; Katherine (Lloyd) Matheson, Calgary; eight nieces; five nephews; many grandnieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nieces, Ione Bartlett; Esther Macdonald. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today, with Legion service 7:30 p.m. this evening, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh, where funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, David Swan and Pastor Ray Matheson officiating. Burial in Upper River Denys Cemetery. Memorial donations to Canadian Bible Society. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
