MacPHERSON, Annie Mae - 65, Whycocomagh, died Monday, May 23, 2005, in Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney. Born in Kewstoke, Inverness Co., she was a daughter of the late Jim and Rachel (MacPhail) Beaton. Annie Mae was a dedicated homemaker devoting her life to her family and was a member of the Stewart United Church in Whycocomagh. Left to mourn her loss are daughters, Elizabeth, at home; Marguerite (James) MacRitchie, and son, Sandy (Dianne), both of Whycocomagh; grandchildren, Jordan and April MacRitchie. Although Annie Mae had no siblings, she loved and was loved in return by her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who were her extended family who are left to mourn, Mary (Frederick) MacKinnon, Edna MacInnis, Effie Matheson, Thompson, D.J., Archie (Velda), Malcolm MacPherson, Margaret MacPherson and Marcie MacPherson; her cousins, Donald (Betty) Beaton, Jessie Beaton MacKinnon, and Mae (Taylor) MacKinnon. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Alex (January 5, 2005), and her sister, Minnie at a young age.
Visitation will be held from 2-9 p.m. today in Dennis Haverstock Funeral Home, Whycocomagh, with funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in Stewart United Church, Donna Tourneur officiating. Burial will be in Stewartdale Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Annie Mae may be made to Stewart United Church. Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at: www.haverstocks.com
