SHEPPARD (Taylor) (Penney), Josephine Ervin-83, Lincolnville, passed away in Guysborough Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 11, 2006. Born in Westville, Pictou Co., she was a daughter of the late Alexander and Beatrice Taylor. She was the last surviving member of the Taylor family. She leaves to mourn her husband, Warren E. Sheppard, Lincolnville; daughters, Roberta (Owen) Byard, Halifax; Glenn Fields, Halifax; Stepson, Raymond; daughter-in-law, Sandra Penney, Westville; son, Billy (Judy), Westville. She also leaves to mourn 24 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, John Penney; sons, Alex, Vincent, Johnny; daughters, Gladys, Frances; Stepsons, Warren Edward Jr, David; Stepdaughter, Florence; son-in-law, Ernest Fields; sisters, Ann, Glenn, Gladys, Bess; brothers, James, Ethan. Visitation will be today 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-9 p.m. in Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church, where the funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday with Rev. Pauline Coffin officiating, assisted by Deacon Alonzo Reddick. Burial in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Josephine may be made to Upper Big Tracadie United Baptist Church.
