SAMPSON, Florence "Flo" Adeline - 89, River Bourgeois. Flo reached the end of life’s earthly journey on Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Richmond Villa, St. Peters. Her spirit now joins her beloved Edward and her many family and friends who predeceased her. Born in River Bourgeois, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Josephine (Beranger) Sampson. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Edward; brother, Vincent and sisters, Carrie, Beatrice, Teresa, Sister Loretta, Margaret Mary. The importance of family and faith were mainstays of the Sampson household and the love, laughter and closeness that continues and includes our large extended family is testament to Flo and Edwards commitment to family values. She is survived by sons, David (Glenda), River Bourgeois; Paul (Debra), Halifax; John (Cindy), Moncton, NB; Peter (Tammy), Stratford, P.E.I.; daughters, Louise (Jim Weatherhead), Lower Sackville; Linda (Fred Graburn), Fall River; Joan (Charles) Wilfong, Georgetown, ON; sister, Louise O'Connor, Mass., grandchildren, Nancy, Danielle, Chris, Elliot, Michelle, Michael, Kristen, Stephen, Kelsie, Scott, Samantha, Amanda, Matthew and Zachary; great-grandson Finn. The Sampson family would like to thank Richmond County Home Support workers and the staff of Richmond Villa for the exceptional care, compassion and love they bestowed on Flo. Special thanks to Jeanette, Rose, Carmelita, Maureen and Debbie for always being there for Mom during the last four years. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 12, 12-1:30 p.m. in River Bourgeois Funeral Home, 8133 Hwy 4, River Bourgeois. Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct 12, Father Dennis Lamey officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Richmond Villa Activity Department or charity of choice.
